Across the world, Queensland is celebrated and respected as Australia’s premier pineapple-growing region, thanks to its warm climate and nutrient-rich soil, which offer the perfect conditions for growing sweet and golden pineapples.

A pivotal part of Queensland’s strong horticultural landscape, multiple generations of growers have spent more than 150 years perfecting their craft.

Pineapples thrive in Queensland thanks to the warm climate and fertile soils, with key growing regions including the Sunshine Coast in South East Queensland, the Wide Bay area encompassing Maryborough and Bundaberg, and the iconic heartland of Central Queensland around Yeppoon.

Further north, the tropical climates of North and Far North Queensland, including Rollingstone and Mareeba, provide ideal conditions for growing Australia’s most-loved juicy fruit, while Atherton Tablelands is gaining recognition for its excellent fruit quality.

Together, these regions ensure a consistent, year-round harvest of fresh, juicy and sweet pineapples, proudly produced by local growers for families across the country and the globe.
